Stop Marketing. It’s Killing Your Business.
I have always been a tech wizard in my own way. I love tech, and I was always the fixer at home growing up. I dismantled and rebuilt old TVs, CD changer radios, all the way to DVDs, before social media; that's what being an only child meant (in my case, being a firstborn). With not many toys, broken TVs became my friends. I taught myself how to fix them by breaking them first.
That curiosity is what drove me to become a co-founder of BSC Ignite Agency.
For years, I’ve been obsessed with finding the "perfect" system. I wanted to build a software company that could take the chaos out of business, something that could automate the heavy lifting so leaders could actually lead. We’ve built that now. It’s a high-powered engine that handles CRMs, funnels, and pipelines under one roof. It’s the tech I used to dream about while taking apart those old radios.
The Fatal Flaw in "Perfect" Marketing
But lately, I’ve had a massive realisation: Most people are marketing themselves straight into a grave.
I was looking at the data for our clients recently. The tech was doing exactly what it was supposed to do. The automation was firing, the emails were going out, and the systems were "perfect." Yet, the sales weren't moving. The ad copies were top class with high-end marketing material, some adverts cinemashot. The deals were stalling at the finish line.
That’s when it hit me: I had built a Ferrari, but I’d forgotten the steering wheel.
We’ve become so obsessed with the efficiency of our "marketing" that we’ve lost the heartbeat of the sale. We are sending thousands of automated messages to people who have become completely deaf to them. People don't buy from perfect systems; they buy from humans they trust. Your next million-dollar client isn't looking for more features they are looking for certainty.
Connection is the New Marketing
This is why I’ve integrated the People Skills Index (PSI) into everything we do.
The tech handles the noise, but the PSI handles the connection. If your sales team is "hustling" but the deals aren't closing, it’s rarely a software problem. It’s a human problem. They have the axe, but they’ve forgotten how to sharpen the blade. They are following a script while the client is starving for understanding.
I didn't build a tech company just to add more noise to your life. I built it to give you the infrastructure to scale, so you can focus on connecting.
The leaders who dominate this year won't be the ones with the loudest ads or the most automation. They’ll be the ones who can read a room, decode a buyer's hesitation, and build a bridge of trust in a world that’s forgotten how to.
Stop trying to out-automate the chaos. Start out-connecting it.
Is your team ready to sharpen the blade?
Before you send another automated email or run another ad, you need to understand the people on the other end. I am opening up the People Skills Index (PSI) for sales leaders and teams who are ready to move from "transactional" to "influential."
